Our 2011 goal is to have a double layer 20 x 32 training mat. Right now we are working on a 16 x 32 single layer mat.  The double layer mat would provide an extra measure of safety with 1" of  foam rubber instead of our current 1/2"

 

This is important as we move into offering children's classes and as students take on more advanced techniques and breakfalls.

 

UPDATE: After our fundraiser in the summer we now have a 18 X 28 double layer mat.  Only a short way to go - we need eight more sets of mats to complete our floor!
