Seminar 2022 - June 4-5 Raleigh NC
Shunpookan Aikido participated in a multi-discipline martial arts seminar in Raleigh NC. Our host was Balance Martial Arts under Sensei Chris Moulinier - https://balancemartialarts.com/
Systems represented were: Chito-ryu Karate, Uechi-ryu Karate, Shunpookan Aikido, Isshin-ryu Karate, Shorin-ryu Karate, Wing Chun Kung Fu, Tae Kwon Do, Largo Mano Escrima, and Kobudo.
Participants from Shunpookan Aikido included the head instructor, Sensei Gilbert, assistant instructors Alex and Steve Austin and Gene Spere, and senior student Oscar Benitez.
The seminar was an excellent reminder of how powerful sharing and communication can be in growing your appreciation of martial arts. Despite the wide range of approaches and disciplines involved everyone took away something new that can help them in their own art.
As Sensei Bob Noel, Uechi-ryu Karate said during the seminar - the greatest value of attending is often the new relationships you build and the support network you maintain through your participation.

COVID-19 UPDATE
We follow all NC guidance for COVID-19
Currently there are no restrictions for those that are vaccinated or have natural immunity as a result of having recovered.
Regardless, all students must practice good hygiene practices. Wash your hands and arms before every class. Keep your Gi in good condition, washing it regularly. Do not attend class if you suspect you are ill.
